(TX) DFW - Ol' South Pancake House and Log Cabin Village
About this event
Time to start doing some earlier morning things because Texsas can get HOT in the afternoons and our vintage cars tend not to have AC.
In June, we are combining breakfast at a Ft Worth local's favorite with a trip down memory lane to the pioneer days of the latter 1800s.
We will start off with breakfast at the Ol' South Pancake House; a down home cooking spot that has ranked high on the list of best breakfasts spots in Ft Worth for 60+ years now.
Then, we will take a short drive to the Log Cabin Village, a blue ribbon living museum. It features 8 original log cabins from this area of Texas dating back to the 1840s. It also has a working recreation of a mid-1800s blacksmith shop. Maintained by the Parks and Recreation Dept of Ft Worth, the village has live reenactors, so you will get a look at life in North Texas 150 years ago.
